Revealed: Why Eleven Wonders coach Ignatius Osei Fosu attacked referee after defeat to Bechem United

Eleven Wonders head coach Ignatius Osei Fosu tried to physically attack the assistant referee during his side’s defeat to Bechem United on Friday.

Eleven Wonders were hammered 3-1 in their matchday 11 games.

However, according to reports, Osei-Fosu was not happy with the assistant referee.

Ignatius kept on telling the linesman he’s making errors and calls him stupid. The linesman loses it and insults Ignatius’ mother.

The coach then responded by insulting linesman’s mother and father and approached linesman and almost hits him but he was separated by onrushing police and had to be dragged off the pitch to prevent any physical clash.

Eleven Wonders took the lead in the game through Samuel Boakye. The home side then equalised through a penalty by Emmanuel Owusu Boakye with 15 minutes to play.

Hafiz Wontah Konkoni put the Hunters in front in the 83rd minute before Listowel Amankona put the game beyond Wonders with a sumptuous finish.

Bechem United move to the top of the table temporarily after their first win in 2021.
