Medeama were the better side in the opening stages – as they played a delightful football and controlled affairs, making a few incursions inside the area of Accra Hearts Of Oak – But Moh Alhassan, Robert Addo Sowa and Fatau Mohammed delt with with the situation effectively.
Hearts of Oak began to dominate the game from the 35th minute, During the 40th minute a through pass was layed onto the path of Fatau Mohammed who gave a pass Obeng Junior the pass and he tried a shot that recochet onto the path of Salifu Ibrahim who swung in beautifully into the back of the net.

Hearts Of Oak coach Samuel Boadu made some changes after the second goal by bringing in Caleb Amankwa for Isaac Mensah , where as Abdul Manaf came in to replace Ibrahim Salifu who got injured, the coach made his final Substitution by bringing in Larry Sumaila for William Dankyi
Medeama who led the League log for several weeks in the first round , have now lost 3 matches and won 2 out of their last five matches played so since the resumption of the second round of the League. They won against Karela United FC and Ashanti Gold FC – lost to Inter Allies and Sogakope Wafa before losing again today to the Phobians today on match day 29.
Hearts of Oak still maintains the top spot with 53 points and Medeama SC moves to the 4th position with 46points after their lose to the Phobians while Karela United moves to third with the same 46 but a difference of plus 9 goals with Medeama having plus 4 goals from 29 matches played so fare in the League.
