As Scribe to Korle-Gonno Stool, I stood in, not on my own volition but by the opportunity granted me by Nii Tackie Owuowuo IV, (Korle-Gonno Mantse), to meet the Press on his behalf. Assisted by Manye Naa Ardua Okropong I, Queenmother of Korle-Gonno.
At the Media Launch of the 4th Wɔmanŋ Nɛ Arts Festival 2022 held yesterday evening at the DeZone Restaurant also in Korle-Gonno (KG), I told the World, especially our brothers and sisters in the Diaspora, what “Wɔmanŋ Nɛ Arts Festival” is all about.
The Festival is scheduled to take place in Korle-Gonno (KG), from 23rd – 25th of September, 2022 on its 1,655 metre long streach of the Old Winneba Road, lying South of Korle-Gonno Community.
“For us at Korle-Gonno, whatever initiative that will enhance the socio-economic life of our people and also improve their standard of living, we as leaders, will embrace such interventions.
We shall support, either Central government, investors, NGOs, as well as Community based establishments, to fulfil their programs through their Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSRs), to our people with quality and speed.
In return, we shall look forward to mutual relationship with all entities to give high regard to integrity and as well, uphold accountability in all their dealings with the Leadership of Korle-Gonno and it’s people.”
Present at the occasion were many dignitaries including the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South Constituency, Hon. Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije and some Native Tribe Executives organisers of the event.
The Festival is expected to draw Ghanaian participants from far and near into KG and also tourists from the Diaspora.
