The Bono Regional Directorate of the National Sports Authority and the Sunyani Municipal Directorate of the Ghana Education Service successfully organized a three-day technical training programme for sports teachers and organizers within the Sunyani Municipal ahead of the upcoming Basic Schools Inter-Circuit Games.
The training, which took place from 3rd to 5th June, 2026 at Sunyani Senior High School (SUSEC), was designed to enhance the technical capacity of participants in the organization and officiating of school sports competitions.
Leading the training team was the Technical Director of NSA Bono, Daniel Affo Aboagye, who guided participants through various aspects of competition management, volleyball rules interpretation, officiating, and athlete development.
Other facilitators included Mike Penou (Coach Sukah), Vincent Ayikoe, and Kusi Emmanuel Boakye-Yiadom, all of whom shared their expertise and practical experiences with participants.
The programme aimed at ensuring that sports teachers and organizers are adequately equipped with the requisite knowledge and skills to effectively conduct the upcoming inter-circuit games while maintaining the highest standards of fairness, professionalism, and athlete welfare.
With the training successfully completed, participants are expected to play a pivotal role in ensuring a successful and well-organized Basic Schools Inter-Circuit Games competition.
