Accra Panthers produced a composed performance to defeat Bulls 16–4, while Dragons powered past Titans 36–10 in a high-scoring encounter.
The results have further tightened the championship race, with Bulls and Dragons level on 21 points at the top of the standings, followed by Accra Panthers on 18 points and Nungua Tigers on 15 points. Titans and Skolars remain on three points each.
Accra Panthers Defeat Bulls 16–4 in Men’s 13s Championship
Accra Panthers produced a composed performance to defeat Bulls 16–4 in the Rugby League Federation Ghana Men’s 13s Championship at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium on Sunday.
The Panthers made a fast start and established control through a two-try performance from Kofi Adusei Abah, who crossed the line in the 17th and 22nd minutes.
Despite missing both conversion attempts, Panthers took an early 8–0 lead and maintained their advantage into the second half.
Bulls were presented with a difficult period shortly after the interval when Richard Browne Asare received a yellow card in the 56th minute. Panthers capitalised on the momentum, with Adam Ibrahim Adam scoring in the 59th minute to extend the lead to 12–0.
Bulls responded through Leslie Boadu, who crossed in the 66th minute to put his side on the scoreboard at 12–4.
However, Panthers remained composed in the closing stages and sealed the victory 16-4 when Godwin Asamoah scored in the 74th minute.
The Panthers finished with four tries, while Bulls recorded one, as Panthers closed out a 16–4 victory.
Dragons Power Past Titans 36–10 in Commanding Championship Performance
Dragons produced a commanding performance in the 2026 Rugby League Federation Ghana Men’s 13s Championship, defeating Titans 36–10 at the University of Ghana Rugby Stadium.
The result was built on a dominant first-half display, disciplined attacking play and a strong individual contribution from Prince Chris Ebo Da-Gama Idan Odum, as Dragons established control early and maintained their advantage throughout the contest.
Dragons needed just five minutes to open the scoring, with Alexander Dorpenyo crossing for the first try of the afternoon. The early breakthrough immediately put Titans under pressure, and Dragons continued to attack with purpose.
Eight minutes later, De-Souza David added another try to extend the Dragons’ advantage. The pressure continued, and in the 20th minute, Prince Chris Ebo Da-Gama Idan Odum crossed for Dragons’ third try. Odum then added the conversion one minute later to give Dragons a 14–0 lead.
Dragons remained firmly in control as the opening half progressed. Their attacking pressure continued to create opportunities, while their defensive organisation prevented Titans from finding a way onto the scoreboard.
Rainn Sheriff Suleiman added Dragons’ fourth try in the 30th minute, further extending the lead and putting Titans in a difficult position heading into the interval.
Dragons went into half-time with a commanding 20–0 advantage.
The second half began in much the same way as the first, with Dragons continuing to apply pressure and dictate the tempo of the match. Suleiman added his second try in the 43rd minute, while Odum successfully converted to take Dragons further ahead.
Odum then completed his personal scoring contribution with his second try of the match in the 53rd minute. With Dragons maintaining their attacking momentum, the side appeared to have the contest firmly under control.
Titans, however, refused to give up.
Their response finally came in the 55th minute when Bernard Akoto crossed for Titans’ opening try. The score provided Titans with renewed energy, and just two minutes later Boateng Stephen added another try.
Papa Sakyi Baidoo converted Stephen’s try, bringing Titans to 10 points and briefly giving the side momentum during the closing stages.
Dragons responded quickly to the Titans fightback. In the 57th minute, Nana Kwesi Asanta Boateng crossed for another Dragons try, restoring their control and taking the score to 36–10.
From there, Dragons managed the remainder of the contest effectively, with their defence preventing Titans from adding to their total.
When the final whistle sounded, Dragons had secured a comprehensive 36–10 victory.
