The Ghana Beach Volleyball Teams are back home with pride and belief after claiming silver medals in both the men’s and women’s divisions at the 2026 CAVB Zone III Beach Volleyball Championship hosted in Nigeria.
Facing seven of West Africa’s finest teams, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Niger, Benin, Togo, and host Nigeria, Ghana rose to the occasion and finished on the podium in both categories. It was a campaign defined by passion, resilience, and determination, as the Ghanaian sides battled their way to the finals against the hosts.

Although the final hurdle proved tough, hope remains high. The silver-medal finish does more than mark success, it opens the door to the Africa Beach Nations Cup, a crucial pathway toward qualification for the 2027 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
With the celebrations comes renewed focus. Attention now turns to preparation, correcting mistakes, strengthening the squad, and sharpening tactics. Technical officials, working closely with the federation and the teams, are already looking ahead, determined to turn lessons learned into future victories.
Ghana’s ambition is clear to remain a dominant force in Zone III and rise as a powerhouse on the African beach volleyball stage.
