Ghana’s Spintex Knights are set to make their third appearance at the Road to BAL Elite 16 after being drawn in Group A of the Division West competition.
The Ghanaian champions will face Jeunesse Club d’Abidjan of Côte d’Ivoire, Avenir du Rail of Congo and Stade Malien of Mali as they continue their push for a place in the 2027 Basketball Africa League (BAL).
The Elite 16 Division West tournament is scheduled to take place from November 10 to 15, 2026, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Spintex Knights head into the competition on the back of an impressive qualifying campaign in Libya, where they won all three of their matches to secure their place in the Elite 16.

The Accra-based side defeated Nabaya Sofas 96-90, NPA Pythons 88-66, and Energie BBC 92-71 to complete a perfect run and underline their determination to return to Africa’s biggest club basketball stage.
This will be the Knights’ third appearance at the Elite 16, having continued to establish themselves as one of Ghana’s leading clubs on the continental stage.
Their latest qualification also comes after disappointment last year when Spintex Knights narrowly missed out on progressing after suffering one defeat during their campaign.
With the memories of last year’s setback still fresh, the Ghanaian side will be hoping their unbeaten run in Libya can provide the momentum needed to go a step further this time around.

Drawn against strong opposition from Côte d’Ivoire, Congo and Mali, Spintex Knights now face another major test as they chase a historic place in the 2027 Basketball Africa League.
