Bayern Munich clinch 35th Bundesliga Title

International Sports

Bayern Munich have been crowned champions of the Bundesliga for a record-extending 35th time after a 4-2 comeback win over VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena.

Needing just a point following Borussia Dortmund’s defeat to Hoffenheim, Bayern made sure of the title in emphatic fashion with a dominant performance.

Stuttgart stunned the home fans early on, with Chris Führich firing them ahead in the 21st minute after a fine assist from Bilal El Khannouss.

But Bayern responded quickly. Jamal Musiala set up Raphaël Guerreiro for the equaliser before Luis Díaz assisted Nicolas Jackson to complete a swift turnaround.

Alphonso Davies added a third before the break, giving Bayern full control at halftime. In the second half, Harry Kane came off the bench to score Bayern’s fourth, sealing the title in style.

A late strike from Chema Andrés proved only a consolation for Stuttgart as Bayern celebrated yet another dominant league triumph under Coach Vincent Kompany.

Attention now turns to cup and European competitions as Bayern continue their push for more silverware.
