Dreams FC have been crowned champions of the 2026 GHALCA Top 4 after completing an unbeaten campaign, giving the Dawu-based club a major boost as they prepare for the new Ghana Premier League season.
The triumph comes just days after Dreams FC were ranked 32nd among Africa’s clubs for the 2026/27 season, making them the highest-ranked Ghanaian club.
The “Still Believe” side began their Top 4 campaign with a goalless draw against FC Samartex before securing a 5-4 victory on penalties to advance.
They maintained their unbeaten run in their second outing against Bibiani GoldStars, with the game ending 1-1 before Dreams FC once again showed composure from the spot, winning 4-1 on penalties.
Dreams FC then completed their campaign in style on Sunday, August 30, defeating reigning Ghana Premier League champions Medeama 1-0 to lift the GHALCA Top 4 trophy.
The victory means Dreams FC finished the three-team tournament unbeaten, following two draws in regulation time and a victory over Medeama in their final game.
The Top 4 success adds to what was already a strong 2025/26 campaign for Dreams FC, who finished fourth in the Ghana Premier League with 52 points.
They recorded 15 wins, seven draws and 12 defeats in their 34 league matches, scoring 49 goals in the process.
Dreams FC secured their place in the GHALCA Top 4 after climbing into the final qualifying position on the last day of the league season, defeating Basake Holy Stars 4-2 to finish fourth.
The tournament has therefore provided the Dawu-based club with an encouraging start to their preparations for the new season, while also giving head coach Winfred Dormon the opportunity to assess his squad and integrate new players.
With the GHALCA Top 4 title now secured and their status as Ghana’s highest-ranked club in Africa, Dreams FC will head into the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season with renewed confidence and growing expectations.
For a club that has steadily established itself on the continental stage in recent years, the latest achievement could be another indication that the “Still Believe” philosophy continues to produce results.
