The four security service teams competing in the 2026/27 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League recorded mixed results during the opening week of the season, with Police Ladies emerging as the only winners.
The league, which commenced on Friday, October 23, 2026, features Ghana Police Service, Ghana Armed Forces and Ghana Immigration Service in the Southern Zone, while Ghana Prisons Service competes in the Northern Zone.
In the Southern Zone, Army Ladies suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Hasaacas Ladies on Saturday, while Immigration Ladies also lost at home, going down 3-1 to Ladystrikers.

Police Ladies, however, secured all three points on Sunday with a convincing 2-0 victory over Jonina Ladies in their home encounter.

In the Northern Zone, Prisons Ladies were held to a 1-1 draw by Tamale Super Ladies in their away fixture, leaving Police Ladies as the only security service side to record a victory in the opening week.
The security service teams will be hoping to use the ongoing league campaign to sharpen their competitiveness and improve their preparedness for the much-anticipated 2026 Security Services Games, as they await confirmation of the competition’s date.

With the season still in its early stages, the teams will be looking to build on their opening performances as they pursue their respective league ambitions while preparing for the inter-service sporting competition.
