Ghana Athletics is pleased to announce the departure of Team Ghana to Dakar, Senegal, for the CAA Region II U18/U20 Athletics Championships, where the finest young athletics talents from across West Africa will compete from 3–5 July 2026.
The team departed Accra today, Friday, 3rd July 2026, determined to represent Ghana with pride, passion, and excellence on the regional stage. Team Ghana is presented by the following athletics:
- Aishatu Jaffar (U18) – 100m, 200m
- Christiana Eghan (U18) – Long Jump, Triple Jump
- Janet Darkoaa (U20) – 100m, 200m
- Adelaide Fosuah (U18) – 100m, 200m
- Blessed Junior Owusu (U18) – 200m, 400m
- Godfred Opoku (U20) – 400m
- Albert Kwaku Gyabaa Komtoh (U20) – Triple Jump
- Bossman Kusi Appiah (U20) – 400m Hurdles
This championship provides an important platform for the development of Ghana’s next generation of elite athletes, offering them the opportunity to compete against the region’s best while gaining invaluable international experience.
