
President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has rewarded three champions of the 2025/26 domestic football season with a total of GH¢684,000 to support their campaigns in the new season.
The President received players and officials of Medeama SC, Nations FC and Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC at the Jubilee House (Flagstaff House) on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, following their successes in the 2025/26 season.
Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC were presented with GH¢342,000, while MTN FA Cup winners Nations FC received GH¢228,000.

Women’s Premier League champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC were also presented with GH¢114,000 as recognition of their outstanding achievements during the 2025/26 season.
The financial support is expected to help the three clubs as they continue their respective campaigns in the 2026/27 season and represent Ghana in domestic and continental competitions.
The ceremony was attended by officials from the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, led by Chief Director Ms. Fati Lily Soale, alongside players and officials of the three clubs.

The presentation forms part of efforts to recognise and support clubs that have excelled in Ghanaian football while encouraging them to build on their achievements and continue contributing to the development of the sport.
Medeama SC clinched the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title, Nations FC secured the MTN FA Cup, while Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC emerged as champions of the 2025/26 Women’s Premier League.
